More Paranormal Investigations in Wisconsin

St. Scholastica Cemetery

When:  June 2, 2007 @ 11:30 p.m.

Who went:  R. Shatkins, C. Shatkins, & P. Cleays

Weather:  cool, but balmy

Reason for the investigation:   This cemetery very near before mentioned graveyard.  As we were leaving, we were approached by law enforcement, who wanted to know what we were doing in there.  When we explained to him who we were and what we were trying to do, he asked just to move our car so he could get out, and said that we may carry on.   Nice guy.

South Bristol Cemetery - Bristol, WI

When:  June 2, 2007 @ 10:00 pm

Who went:  R. Shatkins, C. Shatkins, & P. Claeys

Weather:  70's, humid, threatening thunderstorms

Reason for the investigation:   This was a planned group event, which had poor group showing.  Two cemeteries were visited, that had not been visited as a group.  With exception of this faint "orb", no paranormal evidence was recorded at this site.

Saint Casimir Cemetery (Kenosha, WI)

When:  May 17, 2007

Who went:  R Shatkins, C. Shatkins, A. Poglitsch, & P. Claeys

Weather:  Cool and clear

Reason for the investigation:  First investigation of the season.  Follow up investigation, as many times we will return again and again.  We have captured some possible paranormal activity here in the past.  A few investigators insist that something is not quite right near the back edge of the property and in the northeastern section also.  No paranormal activity was captured on this night.

Spring Brook Cemetery (Pleasant Prairie, WI)

When:  May 17, 2007

Who went:  R Shatkins, C. Shatkins, A. Poglitsch, & P. Claeys

Weather:  Cool and clear

Reason for the investigation:  First investigation of the season.  Follow up investigation, as many times we will return again and again in hopes of capturing some paranormal activity here, as of yet, we have found none.  It is still a nice little cemetery to visit.  It's very old, yet well cared for.

Green Ridge Cemetery

When:  November 9th, 2006 @ 8:00 p.m.  (Kenosha, WI)

Who went:  R Shatkins, C. Shatkins, C. Ricard, J. Desotell, M. Mitchell & P. Claeys

Weather:  Unseasonably warm weather all week long.  48 degrees.

Reason for the investigation:  Combined together with the adjacent St. James Cemetery, this is Kenosha’s oldest and largest cemetery.  There are reports of fleeting spectral ghosts, and reports  that if you toss stones over the fence, some will come back out over the fence.

The investigators present that night heard a “wail” and a “screech”.  Another investigator heard the distinct sound of a bell ringing.  (like an old telephone would ring, she stated).  We were there approximately an hour, when we were approached by Kenosha Police, and they explained to us that we had to leave.  The neighbors are very protective of this cemetery.  Click here to hear someone who was not us say "bye" and then have the two-way radio report with a beep/squelch.  Also, it was that moment when Carrie heard the bells.

Kemper Center (Kemper Hall)

When: Wednesday July 13th, 2006 (Kenosha, Wisconsin)

Who went: C. Shatkins and C. Ricard

Weather: warm, but pleasant and breezy

Reason for the investigation: While photographing Kemper Center during the day, this investigator caught the image of a face in the window in a rear courtyard. This, combined with the numerous tales of ghosts and hauntings, has sparked an ongoing fascination with this wonderfully creepy old building.

This place is off limits at night, so you have to go early unless you want to get into trouble with the law. While taking a break, sitting on a park bench and talking to each other about unrelated events, we heard the loudest noise come out of the building that night. It sounded as if somebody broke a door down inside the Simmons Gymnasium area. We were seated right in front of the place when this happened. We had no recorders running when this happened at all. Both of us leaped to our feet and just stared at it with our mouths open saying obsenities to ourselves. Lesson for the night, NEVER turn off the equipment. EVER.
